Soren Skovlund

Soren Skovlund, PhD, is the Senior Director and Head of Patient Engagement of Patient-Centered Research at Evidera. He leads international patient engagement and patient-centric research initiatives and innovation programs spanning clinical trial and real-world settings with the aim to advance patient involvement and ensure patient-centered impact. 

As a patient-centered research scientist, he has co-authored more than 45 scientific articles within the area of patient-centered research with focus on psychosocial aspects of health and access to patient-centered healthcare and has contributed to multiple international multi-stakeholder initiatives aimed at advancing involvement of patients as equal partners in healthcare innovation.

Soren Skovlund is the co-author of the global quality guidance for patient engagement in medicines development of the Patient Focused Medicines Development (PFMD) initiative, was involved in the development of the European Academy for Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) initiative aimed at advancing education and training of patients across Europe for patient engagement. In 2021 he was awarded a doctorate degree from the medical faculty of Aalborg University on the topic of systematic engagement of patients as partners in health research.
